Alabama is an American country music band that was formed in 1969 by Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry, Jeff Cook and Mark Herndon. They have sold over 75 million records worldwide and have won numerous awards, including seven Grammys and 23 American Music Awards.

One of their most successful albums was Feels So Right, released in February 1981 by RCA Nashville. It was their first #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and peaked at #16 on the Billboard 200. It stayed on the chart for more than three years, longer than any other Alabama album.

The album produced three Number One hits on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart: “Old Flame”, “Feels So Right” and “Love in the First Degree”. The latter two also reached the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. The album was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The title track, “Feels So Right”, was written by Randy Owen, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the band. It is a romantic ballad that describes the intimate feelings of a couple in love. The song features a soft guitar accompaniment and Owen’s smooth vocals. The chorus repeats the phrase “feels so right” to express the unshakeable belief that this is where they were meant to be, and that their love is destined to stand strong.

The song was released as the second single from the album in May 1981. It became the band’s fourth straight No. 1 single (and first multi-week No. 1) on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. It also crossed over to the pop charts, reaching #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Adult Contemporary chart. It was one of the first country songs to achieve such crossover success in the early 1980s.

The song has been praised by critics and fans alike for its catchy melody, heartfelt lyrics and soothing performance. It has been covered by several artists, including Kenny Chesney, Clay Walker and Reba McEntire. It is considered one of Alabama’s signature songs and one of the best country love songs of all time.
